Frank J. Mangione, Inc. is named for the company's founder, who began plastering in partnership with his father, John Mangione in Brooklyn in the 1950s. John Mangione learned his trade in the plasterers union in New York City in the 1930s, having been a foreman on the Empire State Building and countless other projects in the five boroughs and Long Island.
Frank moved from the city to Saugerties, NY in 1977 bringing his skills to the Hudson Valley, where he quickly developed a reputation as a premium subcontractor, providing expert plastering and tile installation to area builders and homeowners.
In 1992 he made David Krein and his son Henry, both experienced employees, partners in Frank J. Mangione, Inc. Working with Frank until his passing in 2006 and continuing his legacy since, David, Henry and their crew have contributed their skills to homes, historic sites and houses of worship from Saratoga to Staten Island and beyond.
